Pincha yaolu 品茶要錄 "Important matters of high-quality tea" is a book on tea written by the Song period 宋 (960-1279) scholar Huang Ru 黃儒, courtesy name Huang Daofu 黃道輔. He came from Jian'an 建安 (modern Jian'ou 建甌, Fujian), but about his life virtually nothing is known. The short book discusses ten matters about the regional tea from the period of harvesting, the processing of leaves, and the use of water to prepare the beverage. These detailed chapters are accompanied by a general introduction about the tea industry in that region, including a listing of diseases of the tea plant and problems in the manufacturing process. The Chapin yaolu is all the more interesting because the general concept of presenting the topic an its various themes is different from other books on tea. It is included in the reprint series Shuofu 說郛, Yimen guangdu 夷門廣牘 and Siku quanshu 四庫全書.
