Huang-Song shichao gangyao 皇宋十朝綱要 "Important matters from the ten reigns of the August Song dynasty" is a chronicle written by Li Zhi 李{直/土}[=埴] (1161–1238, courtesy name Jichong 季允, style Yuezhai xiansheng 悅齋先生).
The 25-juan long book describes the history from the foundation of the Song dynasty 宋 (960-1279) until the reign of Emperor Gaozong 宋高宗 (r. 1127–1162), who founded the Southern Song 南宋 (1127-1279). The book only lists the most important events, without going into detail. Each section begins with information about each emperor's family (consorts, children), the holders of the central and regional state offices, like Grand Counsellors (zaixiang 宰相) or participants in determining governmental matters (canzhi zhengshi 參知政事, i.e. vice counsellors), prefects, or graduates of the metropolitan examination (jinshi 進士). This information is based on the books Xu zizhi tongjian changbian 續資治通鑒長編, Zhongxing xiaoli 中興小歷 by Xiong Ke 熊克 (jinshi degree 1151) and Jianyan yilai xinian yaolu 建炎以來系年要錄, but also on other sources.
The text from the original Song print is reproduced in Luo Zhenyu's 羅振玉 series Liujingkan congshu chuji 六經堪叢書初集, published in 1927.
